I usually like to write about something unconventional, going beyond the most talked about or taboo topics. For this reason, I have chosen how to take the country’s education system from a picnic-like food-based or eating culture to a model of empowerment. On June 18, 2021, on the occasion of World Picnic Day, Prothom Alo published an article titled ‘Today is Picnic Day in a World at a standstill’ online. It quotes the Cambridge Dictionary of the United Kingdom and defines picnic as, ‘A picnic is basically when you go out to eat without any occasion.’
Meanwhile, in Bengali, picnic means “banbhojon”. It is also called “chaduibhati” or “aranyabhoj”.
