Why Middle East-based remittance-warriors are third-class: Context Colonial domination

Media

I have read many articles about remittance warriors. Almost all of them are full of money. But none of them have written about our colonial slavery behavior! I have been traveling abroad for about 20 years due to my studies and work. I have noticed that mainly low-skilled workers go to the Middle East, Malaysia and Singapore. Many of them do not understand Bengali or English properly. Most of the time, there is a group of officials at the airport who fill out their checking forms in exchange for money. When the airport officials understand that they are illiterate and do some simple work, their appearance becomes like that of colonizers. It is even more cruel when they come to Bangladesh on vacation with their eyes full of dreams. These expatriates usually bring foreign blankets, gold and electronic products.

When these people stand in line to check their passports, they are shouted at indecent language, making them cower in fear. Not only that, but their bags are also being cut open and their belongings stolen. The situation has become such that our current government has announced that a separate venue will be arranged for them. Why can’t the people who are creating your reserves, raising families, and building society get such good service?
